Welcome to Academic Ascents!

Welcome and thank you for visiting my website! Since this is my first blog posting I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Lindsay Lesch and I am the owner/founder of Summit County’s newest tutoring business. I am dual certified as an elementary and special education teacher. I have worked as a special education teacher, reading specialist and most recently as a 4th grade teacher. My area of expertise is working with students who have Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia (learning disabilities in the areas of reading, math, and written language respectively). Many of the students that I have worked with are gifted in other areas. As a result I am able to target areas of difficulty while also encouraging students to explore their areas of strength. My goal during my tutoring sessions is to support and enhance the instruction already being provided at school. My desire is to work with students, parents, and teachers to create a comprehensive plan that will meet the unique needs of each student I work with.
